Early years

Adam was born in Iowa, USA in 1983. He admits that he loved comedy from a young age. He loved watching standup comedy shows; one of his favorites was ‘An Evening At The Improv.’  Adam also recalls that growing up, he would often do voices on the radio. He would call the radio stations and do Chris Farley impressions which would leave everyone impressed. Little did he know that one day, he would be voicing characters for famous movies.

He moved from Nebraska to Los Angeles to pursue his career as a standup comedian. In 2006, Adam, along with Kyle Newacheck, Anders Holm and Blake Anderson formed ‘Mail Order Comedy’, a sketch comedy group. The group was successful on Myspace and YouTube.

The group’s music video (Wizards Never Die) was featured in the television series ‘Attack of the Show!’ in 2008.  Later that year, they released a music album called ‘Purple Magic’ that featured 14 tracks. In 2011, ‘Workaholics’ was released by Comedy Central that featured Anders, Blake and Adam and co-starred Kyle.

Adam’s Television debut

Adam made a debut on television in 2006 when he appeared on the television series ‘Crossbows & Mustaches.’ Subsequently, he started getting small roles in movies; one of these was ‘Mama’s Boy’ (2007). He started making appearances on television shows like ‘Traffic Light’, ‘Community, Arrested Development’ and ‘Samantha Who?’ Slowly, over time, as his fan following increased, he was given bigger projects to work on.

Adam has an endless list of comedy movies. He is popularly known as the co-creator and star of Comedy Central’s famous show called ‘Workaholics.’ He has previously worked on ‘The Final Girls’ (2015), ‘The Intern’ (2015), ‘Pitch Perfect 1’ (2012) and ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ (2015). He has received a Teen Choice Award for his role in the musical comedy ‘Pitch Perfect’. His more recent big screen releases include ‘Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates’ (2016), in which he has acted alongside Zac Efron.

He has voiced a number of characters in movies like ‘Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero’, ‘Uncle Grandpa’, ‘The Lego Batman Movie’ and ‘Ice Age: Collusion Course.’ He has voiced the character of Julian in ‘IceAge: Collusion Course’ and the character of Pizza Steve on ‘Uncle Grandpa’ series.

Upcoming and recent projects

Adam is working on an upcoming American comedy show, ‘The Righteous Gemstones’, starring John Goodman and Danny McBride. He has also played the lead role opposite Alexandra Daddario in the romantic comedy ‘When We First Met.’ The movie was released on Netflix this year. Adam can be seen in the Netflix film, Game Over, Man!, in which he has worked with his former co-stars Kyla Newacheck, Blake Anderson and Anders Holm.

He has recently completed the production of two movies: ‘Isn’t it Romantic?’ where he has acted opposite Priyanka Chopra, Liam Hemsworth and Rebel Wilson and Disney’s ‘Magic Camp’ in which he has starred along Jeffery Tambor.
