While enjoying success as a pop star, he also made his acting debut by being a guest star on the Disney TV series called Lizzie McGuire. In March 2001, Carter also performed at the MGM Grand Studio along with his fellow musician, Samantha Mumba. The following month, Carter also made his theatrical debut by starring in Broadway production of Seussical the Musical.
