The prosperous sports industry continues to flourish in the city with their four major league teams namely the WNBA's Seattle Storm, the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, the MLB's Seattle Mariners and the MLS's Seattle Sounders FC.

The popular recreational community centers of the city include Rainier Beach, Meadowbrook, Van Asselt, and Rainier. People love to walk around in Discovery Park, Myrtle Edwards Park and Seward Park. The ParkScore ranking by The Trust for Public Land ranked Seattle at number twenty with respect to the best park system in fifty most populous cities in the United States.
