Appleton is an American city found within the state of Wisconsin within the US. This city is found within three of the state’s counties; namely Outagamie county, Calumet county and Winnebago county. Lawrence and Samuel Appleton, whose name became the name of the community. Today, this is a famous city in the US and is home to many attractions including having the first enclosed shopping mall in the US, the ValleyFairShopping Center. Tourist attractions in this city include the Hearthstone House which is the first ever house in the world to have been run of hydroelectricity. The largest park, Memorial Park, is home to baseball and softball fields, an indoor ice skating rink, sledding hill, a catch and release fishing pond, picnic pavilion, grills, and a warming shelter.
