Azusa Pacific University is located near Los Angeles in suburban Azusa, California, with its foundation being laid in 1899.It is an evangelical Christian university and their beliefs and values form a central part of the university. The undergraduate student body has surpassed over 5,000 taking the total number of students to 9258 – this is the largest in the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. The Princeton Review included APU among 121 institutions in the 2012 Best Colleges in the West for the sixth consecutive year, and Forbes placed Azusa Pacific University at number 322 on a list of 650 colleges that represent the top 20 percent of all undergraduate institutions.
